Employer Services works in partnership with Ohio's 3,700 OPERS-contributing employers to help ensure all employers comply with all retirement contribution reporting regulations.
Employer Services comprises two units:
- Employer Outreach is responsible for all retirement contribution report data, handles all types of employer payments made to the retirement system, generates communications and staffs the Employer Call Center.
- Compliance sponsors employer training events, provides one-on-one training at employer locations, issues determinations for membership, earnable salary, conversion plans and employer pick-up plans, and approves early retirement incentive plans.
Our goal is to partner with employer representatives to provide the most-needed, and requested, services.
